Great Boxing Day at the Cape!!

Hello:

The Pepe's & Davidow's had a terrific day on Saturday boxing at
the Cape. Despite the winds, the sun came out and we found the
following:

Wizard of the Waves, Eastham
Cook's Tour, Eastham
Nauset Light, Eastham
Fort Hill, Eastham - We all agreed that this is one of the best
locations for a letterbox. The scenery is remarkable!
Oyster Pearl, Osterville
Joshua's Pond, Osterville
Andrew's Birthday Party, Mashpee

The 3 Sisters in Eastham eluded us and the 2 sisters [Sue & Leslie]
were really bummed! The tried paces, steps, baby steps, giant paces -
but nothing worked!
This was the first time in many months that we were all able to
letterbox together and the young Davidow's first trip to the Cape
since they were infants.

We also left the Bohemian Traveler Hitchhiker that we picked up at
Christmas Around the World in November in a special place today.

Our current count is now P0 F73 X45

We truly had a memorable day and hoped you all enjoyed the same today.

Question about Lb designations: What is the significance of "x" in
the term P---, F---, X ---. I know the P is for placed lb's and the F
is for found ones, is the X meant for transfered ones ( hitchhikers) ???

Another great day for Lbing! Sunny and Clear with temps in the mid 60's

Hi Budster:

"X" means exchanges, which are traded personal stamps of other
letterboxers, either on the trail or at gatherings. Most of ours have
come from the Moose Hill Sanctuary Gathering this past January in MA.

Some boxers count Hitchhikers in the "F's" as we do, and others use
an "H" count and call them out separately.
